All Things Bright and Beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
God made them all

Each little flower that opens
Each little bird that sings
God made their glowing colors
And made their tiny wings

The purple-headed mountains
The river running by
The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky

The cold wind in the winter
The pleasant summer sun
The ripe fruits in the garden
God made them everyone

God gave us eyes to see them
And lips that we might tell
How great is God almighty
Who has made all things well

When most people think of poodles, they think of elegant, elaborately coiffured, spoiled creatures with bejeweled collars, resting on plush velvet cushions, dining on tasty morsels served on silver trays by their lucky and affluent owners.

Although anyone who has ever received the blessing of loving and being loved by a poodle knows that in a perfect world this would be true, this is not a "perfect world."

Far too often imperfect humans abuse, neglect, and abandon one another as well as members of all breeds and all other species.

Virginia Marie Grissom - September 17, 1927 - August 10, 2001 - witnessed some of such treatment to this dog breed she most loved.  And, rather than merely despair over such cruelties, she adoped a "difficult" poodle, saved in a raid on a Florida puppy mill.

Her experiences in winning the trust of little Rudy and her hopes of providing a home for another rescue poodle, Vickie, inspired her - just days before her death from tongue and throat cancer - to establish this rescue fund.

If you wish, donations can be made to the Virginia Grissom Poodle Rescue and mailed to Faustina Poodles, 46 Lewis Rd. Boerne,
Texas 78006.   (We do not have our non-profit status so your donations are not tax deductible.)

Thank you for your interest in this fund which Virginia established in order to assist poodles in perpetuity.
